Welcome to I Can Do It! Kids Clinic – a new and innovative Paediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic located in the heart of the Sutherland Shire.

Established in 2022, our Clinic was created with a genuine desire to empower children and their families to develop their capacity to achieve independence and mastery in their lives.

Helping kids shine is at the core of who we are and what we do!

Our motto is Connect, Grow, Succeed and reflects a key paradigm that sets I Can Do It! Kids Clinic apart from other service providers. What we have found to be the most important aspect of service delivery is connection. This isn’t just connection to the child, their family and their wider support network – it’s connecting the child to their inner potential. It’s about reminding the child that they have the capability, the resilience, the magic, and the strength within them to go after their goals and realise their dreams. They may need help along the way (who doesn’t!), but each child has the potential to make changes in their lives and achieve amazing things. It’s why we do what we do.

I Can Do It! Kids Clinic
The Roles

These roles are open to both new graduates with initiative and a willingness to learn, and clinicians who are a few years into their career journey. All team members at I Can Do It! Kids Clinic will be supported by the Clinic Director to explore areas of passion within their field to develop their professional skill set, as well as receive initial and ongoing training in Clinic processes, administration, assessments, and intervention approaches (e.g. primitive reflex integration).

Key elements of this role include:

  • Administration of a range of standardised and observational assessments for all age groups.

  • Development and facilitation of school holiday group programs and therapy packs.

  • Engagement in alternative therapies such as creating home programs; telehealth sessions; case conferences and resource development.

  • Collaboration with children’s families and wider support network (e.g. other therapists, medical professionals and teachers).

About You

Other skills you possess include:

  • Time efficient and organised.

  • Ability to prioritise and execute multiple tasks across the therapeutic scope (e.g. session planning, note writing, emails to parents, resource development, report writing etc).

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
